AAU Soccer Outdoor National Championships
The Amateur Athletic Union is pleased to announce the upcoming AAU Soccer Outdoor National Championships from June 26th through the 28th. Grab your jerseys, cleats, lassos and cowboy boots because this year’s tournament will be held in the South Texas District. This new location marks the first time that the Soccer Championships will be hosted in the Lone Star State. Honored by the opportunity, the South Texas District is pulling out all the stops, providing a premium venue for the 09 games. The Brownsville Texas Soccer Complex will house all of the goals, saves, and slide tackles this year’s competition can muster.
Whether you have Landon Donovan’s or Mia Hamm’s skills or just a poster of them on your wall, the 2009 National Championships have a spot for you! The tournament will be broken down by age, gender, and skill. Levels of play range from boys and girls U-9 through U-19, Adult Men and Co-ed U-30, and even an Over 30 division. The U-9’s will play 9 verses 9 while all other ages will play 11 on 11 games. The games will be played in 35 minute halves; however, halves in the championship round will be extended to 40 minutes each. After registration, the tournament director will make the final determination of each team’s level of play to optimize the best competition and highest level of fun for all competitors.
Register today and join all of the kicking action. Teams submitting entries by June 5th will receive a discounted entry fee while the final registration deadline will be June 12th. Formulate your own 18 person roster and take to the grass as we roll out the balls in South Texas. Those teams who can go the distance will be awarded tournament honors and medals. Medals will be given to members of the first, second, and third place teams for each division. Join us in Texas to see who can streak to the goal and ahead of the competition!
