Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas and Lacey Schwimmer.  You may recognize these three names from the popular ABC Television show known as “Dancing with the Stars.  These three young and talented dancers were members of the AAU Dance program.
In 2003 the beautiful and energetic, Julianne Hough, danced with the International Dance Club in Utah.  Her first season she danced to victory with Olympic star Apolo Ohno (5/2007) and received her 2nd Dancing with the Stars Championship title with Indy 500 star, Helio Castroneves (11/2007).  She has also cut a rug with Adam Carolla, Cody Linley, and Chuck Wicks.  Julianne impressed the AAU in 2003 and still does today!
Before Mark Ballas and Julianne Hough were competitors on Dancing with the Stars, they competed together in the AAU Dance Program.  Mark was an AAU member in 2003 dancing with the same organization in Utah, the International Dance Club.  Stars such as, Sabrina Bryan and Kim Kardashian partnered up with Mark vying for the championship title.  However, it took Mark Balls paired with Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast, Shawn Johnson to take the crown of Dancing with Stars in May 2009.  Shawn Johnson was also awarded the prestigious AAU James E. Sullivan award for 2008; her and Mark managed to break in New York for her to accept the award and still win the title!
Lacey Schwimmer, an AAU Dance member from the Southern Pacific District in 2004, has also debuted on Dancing with the Stars.  Lacey had the opportunity to teach her best dance moves to N’SYNC’s Lance Bass and television’s daredevil Steve-O.  She was talented as a young child and has grown into an elegant young professional dancer.
