63-year-old Gordon Santee (148lbs.) proves age is nothing but a number by winning best lightweight lifter in the full power and deadlift competitions at the 2009 AAU World Powerlifting Championships earlier this month in Laughlin, Nevada. Santee deadlifted an AAU World Record of 473 pounds raw on a fourth attempt. That is good for fifteenth on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings.
Santee squatted 352 and benched 248 pounds. He broke seven AAU American Records and seven AAU World Records.
