The 2010 AAU Gymnastics Age Group National Championship came to a close Sunday, July 4, 2010. This was such a fun and exciting event to watch. Many parents and fans were in attendance to see their star’s shine bright in front of the judges. Make sure you check out some photos from this event.

Coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the AAU presents the 2010 AAU Gymnastics Age Group National Championship. Starting Thursday, July 1st, 2010 and ending Sunday, July 4th, gymnasts are coming to Orlando, Florida to show off their talents on balance beams, still rings and vaults.

This event is open to athletes ages 5 through 18. At the conclusion of each session all athletes will be awarded an AAU National Championship medal in the All-Around and 1/2 plus one for their individual events. Registration for coaches and athletes is Thursday, July 1st at 7:30 AM, with the first competition beginning at 8:00 AM.

The opening ceremonies called, “The Parade of Champions” will be held on Thursday, July 1st, 2010 starting at 6:00 PM. Athletes will march onto the competition floor in the Milk House. Immediately following the march in, there will be a celebration for all athletes, coaches and families.
