AAU Attends First Lady’s Let’s Move! Initiative Press Event

The AAU was invited to attend the First Lady’s press conference announcing the new members of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. The President signed an Executive Order outlining the Council’s new emphasis on both good nutrition and physical fitness. Broadening the scope of the council is in conjunction with the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative. The council promotes and maintains the President’s Challenge Physical Activity and Fitness Awards program which encourages all American’s to include physical activity in their daily lives. The AAU has proudly administered the President’s Challenge program for the past two decades. The AAU is excited about the new council members and is thrilled to participate in the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative.
