The AAU of the United States Inc is making a concerted effort to discover and develop its next generation of leadership during our bi-annual 2010 convention. The AAU has been directed by volunteers for 122 years. Come be a part of shaping the AAU’s leadership team in the next decade by registering for the 2010 Future Leaders Program.
What is the AAU Convention?
The AAU Convention is the bi-annual meeting of the leadership of the AAU at all levels. Every two years, leaders convene to conduct the business of the AAU organization. Our constitution and by-laws give representation to all entities (similar to the U.S. government set-up).
Future Leader Program Highlights scheduled for 2010 Convention:
- Future Leaders Workshop Dinner
- Tuesday Freebie Carnival – inaugural fun-in-the-sun day featuring food, drink & prizes
- National Congress – the ultimate governing body of AAU
- National Sport Committee Meetings – where rules and procedures are established
- Administrative Committee Meetings – such as Legislation Committee & Sullivan Award
- Compliance/Town-Hall Workshop – focusing the leadership on the future
- Welcome Reception – featuring one-on-one sessions with exhibitors
- Coaches Training & Seminars
- Networking Opportunities
- Educational Workshops
- Closing Banquet – where Presidential Leadership awards are given and Hall of Fame members are inducted.
