Lake Buena Vista– AAU Jam on It Classic is set to invade Reno, NV for Memorial Day Weekend.

Over 900 teams from around the West are hanging up their cookout plans for a fun-filled weekend of basketball and one last chance to qualify for AAU Basketball National Championships.

“This is the largest basketball tournament in the country,” said Matt Williams, AAU Girls Basketball co-chair and founder of Jam On It. ” It’s a great time for families and kids of all ages. When you’re not playing, we’ve got face paintings, bounce houses, food, photo booth– there’s something for the whole family.”

The AAU Jam On It Classic is like no other basketball tournament you’ll ever attend. Once known for his tournaments “All under 1 Roof”, Williams has now had to expand to multiple facilities with the growth the tournament has experienced this year.

“We had about 700 boys and girls [basketball] teams last year,” said Williams. “Now we’re over 900!”

The AAU Jam On It Classic will take place at Reno-Sparks Convention Center and Grand Sierra Resort, as well as several offsite facilities. Boys and Girls basketball teams 2nd grade through 12th grade will be competing from one last chance to qualify for AAU Basketball National Championships as well as the Jam On It Classic title.
