The 2008 AAU Tackle Football National Championships were a huge success! Be sure and check out some Photos from the event as well as the complete Results listing.

The weather was perfect for football - low 70’s all weekend with no rain, and not a cloud in the sky.

Approximately, 2,000 fans came out for a great weekend of AAU football. Exciting plays were made by all 30 participating teams. There were numerous one-handed catches, game saving tackles and big-time hits.

One of the 12U semifinals, between the North Houston Jaguars and the Zephyrhills Bulldawgs, went into double overtime. The Bulldawgs came away victorious in the second overtime, with a 20 yard TD run to capture the win. They later were crowned 12U National Champions.

Trevor Hartwig, AAU Sport Manager noted:  “The second annual AAU Football National Championships were an amazing success. Teams competed from all across the nation, and there were many exciting games. Next year should be even bigger and better. AAU Football is looking forward to seeing all of these teams back at nationals along with some new teams as well.”
